JOB DESCRIPTION
We have an exciting opportunity for a Recoveries Manager within Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) Regional Delivery (RD) Utilities. The successful candidate will fulfil a critical role managing recovery functions, acting as the primary focal point between DIO and its customers, as well as assisting the Recoveries Lead in project management across the recovery functions.
Utility recovery functions include Service Family Accommodation (SFA) recovery (including a Fuel Subsidy Scheme) and Third-Party recovery. We are looking for an individual who can find opportunities to improve processes, supervise progress and track benefits with a continuous improvement lens. This position and associated activities will require excellent stakeholder management and collaboration to manage recoveries and the delivery of projects to full completion.
A particular challenge is to ensure that our processes and systems continue to be developed to ensure they remain fit for purpose, move to a paperless/digital way of working, to drive efficiency and value for money for Defence and improve resource management.
The job holder will ensure that recoveries are undertaken in a timely manner and that customer queries are actioned promptly, delivering excellent advice and customer service. Monitor, review and respond to both internal and external customer enquiries. Have line management responsibilities: lead, manage and empower the team, providing a positive, collaborative, and proactive working environment. Reporting to the Specialist Projects and Recoveries lead, you will keep them updated on recoveries, project progress, key outputs and any arising issues or risks. Collaboration with stakeholders to seek new/outstanding recoveries across the estate will be essential; travel will be a requirement of the role.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.
