Hospitalist schedule is self-scheduled with 12-hour shifts 6 shifts per month Shifts run from 7p to 7a Response time within 30 minutes Utilize Vidyo Telehealth Responsibilities Working closely with Telehospitalists, daytime hospitalists, bedside nurses, and nursing supervisors during on call hours Managing cross coverage & low acuity admissions (as needed) on overnight shift for one or more hospitals, depending on the number of beds covered. Cross cover needs, include but not limited to entering orders, calling nurses, staff, patients, or families. Helping with transfers to higher level of care if needed overnight, transfer to ICU or other floors within same facility, calling in through Vidyo to evaluate patients if needed. Documentation per CMS & TH guidelines for H&Ps, cross coverage, significant events, handoff, etc. Staffing with assigned attending physician overnight for complex cross coverage needs and deteriorating patients and any other needs.
