Bereavement Service Co-Ordinator - Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Bereavement Service Coordinator provides direct support for professionals, parents, and carers to help them support a child or young person through their grief. This can be raw, immediate grief. The post holder will do this by listening, assessing, and determining appropriate support tailored to the individual’s needs.
ACBS run a helpline for bereaved families and therefore we require the post holder to work an element of fixed ours each week, to comply with the advertised “open” Information Line service. There is an occasional need to work at weekends and/or evenings for activity days/to attend meetings, etc. therefore flexibility is essential.
