Description

Are you an organised and proactive Project Coordinator with a passion for design and construction delivery? We are looking for a detail-focused team member to support the successful coordination of high-quality commercial interiors projects from mobilisation through to closeout.

Who We Are

Geyer Valmont bring together the world of elevated design consultancy with construction excellence. We provide an integrated, full-service design and construct approach to commercial interiors. We’re pioneers at heart. We bring together the most diverse team of creative minds and practical thinkers. Innovative ideas come to life with imagination and pragmatism. We're collaborative, curious, committed, and client-centred. You'll succeed in your career with Geyer Valmont if you uphold these values.

Our studios in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Singapore provide global possibilities. Our clients span the Asia Pacific across workplace, retail, education and hospitality sectors. We are proud of our loyal client base, with some having trusted us for over 20 years.

We love technology. We build and use our own AI to bring a new level of thinking to workplace design and delivery. We strive to lessen our impact to the planet, and our best work incorporates globally recognised sustainability principles.

We are an equal opportunity employer. We encourage applications from people of all genders, nationalities, and cultural backgrounds. This includes First Nations people and candidates with disabilities.

Why Come Work With Us

You’ll be joining a team that values respect, ethical dealings, and innovative solutions. We offer a collaborative working environment where you can truly take ownership of your projects and your career growth.

  • High-performing and collaborative – We back our people to bring their perspective, take ownership and deliver work we’re proud of.
  • Clear growth pathways – We invest in capability, provide real stretch opportunities and support long-term career progression.
  • Agile and connected – With direct access to leaders and fast decision-making, good ideas gain traction quickly.

The Role

As our Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in keeping projects organised, documented and moving. Working closely with Project Managers, clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams, you will coordinate project administration, procurement, scheduling, financial controls, reporting and compliance activities to help deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to client and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Coordinate project mobilisation, handover activities, schedules, action registers, procurement trackers, variation registers and project documentation.
  • Procurement & Delivery Support: Support subcontractor and supplier engagement, monitor milestones, lead times and critical path activities, and provide timely updates to the Project Manager.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate client communications, schedule and document meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and help ensure information requests are managed within agreed timeframes.
  • Financial Administration: Assist with cost tracking, budget monitoring, progress claims, subcontractor payment assessments, variation registers and monthly project reporting.
  • Systems, Quality & Compliance: Maintain accurate project records, support WHS, quality and environmental compliance, coordinate inspection documentation, assist with defects tracking and support project closeout.

What You Bring

  • Education: A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Building, Engineering or a related discipline is highly desirable.
  • Experience: We are seeking someone with a strong contracts administration background, ideally with 2–3 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role within commercial design and construction.
  • Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams. Experience with Procore, Jobpac or similar project management systems is highly regarded.
  • Construction Knowledge: Understanding of construction lifecycles, procurement, contract administration, Security of Payment legislation, WHS, quality and environmental requirements, the NCC and relevant industry standards.
  • The "Extras": Strong planning, organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong attention to detail.
