Description

This is an incredible opportunity to grow your career in a supportive, professional and friendly environment. We’re currently looking for a Chef de Partie to join our Banquet Kitchen team, someone with a great attitude and passion for what they do.

About Us

At Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart, we are one of Hobart’s largest and most successful hotels. With 244 guest rooms, 11 function spaces hosting up to 1,100 guests, a restaurant, bar and room service, plus a pool, gym and sauna, there’s always something exciting happening here. We’re a friendly team who are proud of who we are and what we do.

About the Role

As a Chef de Partie in our Banquet Kitchen, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the banquet kitchen, preparing and delivering high-quality food for events and service periods. You’ll work closely with the wider kitchen team supported by the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to deliver high-quality food and standards, ensure smooth operations, and a positive team culture.

Experience working in a high-volume banquet or hotel kitchen environment is preferred, but we’re also interested in hearing from chefs who are ready to take their next step.

Why Us?

We’re a great place to work. We are fun, friendly, and passionate about what we do. Work-life balance is important to us, so you won’t find split shifts or crazy hours here. We’re all about developing our team and giving people opportunities to grow in their careers.

About You

You’re passionate about food and have a strong appreciation for fresh Tasmanian produce. You take pride in your culinary skills and kitchen knowledge, are organised and reliable. You will bring positive people skills to the kitchen, enjoy working as part of a team and thrive in a busy environment.

  • If this sounds like your next step, we want to hear from you. Please submit your cover letter and resume. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.

  • Experience in a commercial kitchen or culinary training
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
