PROFESSIONAL/TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
Reporting to the Regional Director, Energy & Environmental Sustainability (EES), the Energy and Carbon Emissions Director provides strategic leadership, planning and implementation of the energy and carbon emission focus area across the Fraser Health (FH) led portfolio.
The Director negotiates and facilitates consensus with internal and external stakeholders regarding energy and carbon emission focused reduction strategies and represents Fraser Health on related industry committees. Key partnerships include site leadership teams, facilities management staff and project managers as well as representatives from external agencies and organizations, such as BC Hydro, Fortis BC, Climate Action Secretariat and Municipalities in the Fraser Health region.
A key aspect of this role includes effective collaboration and communication with all Senior Leadership, Facilities Management teams and external stakeholders; ensuring that the organization is aligned with federal, provincial and local government climate change legislation and targets.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Building Technology or related field, a professional designation and additional training in energy and carbon emissions management, supplemented by ten (10) years’ recent related experience planning, implementing and operationalizing energy and carbon emissions management programs in a large complex multi-site environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
