THE ROLE AND THE TEAM

As a Senior Test Engineer, your main responsibility is to secure our product quality and to produce releases on time. You will be focusing mainly on desktop testing while also testing web applications from time to time.
You will have the opportunity to monitor all stages of development to identify, investigate and describe all system malfunctions to meet quality standards. You will get a first-hand connection to the global cruise ship industry and be part of the historical era of digitalizing the traditional onboard processes therein.
You will work in an autonomous 8-member team of experienced development experts using agile methods. The team is located in Helsinki, Finland. You will also interact with global colleagues from various other teams in testing, software development, UX design, DevOps, and sales.
This job is permanent and full-time. You can work at our office in Helsinki or in hybrid-mode.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

• Constantly following up the overall quality of the software by conducting testing of features and releases.
• Developing testing methodologies and techniques used in the team e.g. test and requirements management.
• Ensuring that product features meet requirements.
• Providing test-related guidance to the rest of the team.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU WOULD IDEALLY HAVE:

• At least 5+ years of software testing experience.
• Relevant educational background.
• Experience of test automation and test scripting.
• Experience in Windows desktop and web applications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Will to organize and produce documentation.
• Proficiency in English for both written and spoken.
