WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or equivalent through experience
• Five to eight years’ experience in DX Business will be a plus
• Demonstrate strong technical subject matter expertise to faster credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment
• Demonstrated ability to influence consultants and end users in their technical projects choices
• Computer literacy particularly with Microsoft package
• Fluent Italian & English language skills (verbal, reading and writing)
• Ability to work under pressure, whilst ensuring deadlines are met.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

For our Johnson Controls Hitachi Air Conditioning JV based in Milan we are currently looking for a Project Engineer in HVAC Direct Expansion. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible to support the Italy Sales Organization made by Sales Consultant, Sales Agents and the Area Sales Managers by preparing offers/proposal mainly related to project sales, for any kind of buildings and installation as well as for the overall promotion of Hitachi products and solutions.

HOW YOU WILL DO IT

• Understand the object and the limits of opportunity of the assigned Orders by carefully analyzing the tender specifications, the technical specifications, the reference drawings and any other document that is part of the Orders themselves and necessary for the purpose
• Using the Company SW, perform the calculations, schemes and offers
• Manage proposals together with Area Sales Managers and Sales Agents ensuring that customer needs are satisfied and that the proposals are in line with market needs
• Validate assumptions made during promotion meeting and builds a detailed cost estimate and scope of work
• Prepare proposals and other consultant’s communications documents
• Understand of the full range of Hitachi offerings and their applications in customer solutions
• Develop and maintain relationship with Internal sales organization, sales agents and get in contact with customers where needed
• Assist in identifying specification issues or interpretation discrepancies and providing solutions to resolve
• Work with appropriate sales team to develop understanding of customer requirements, critical area and needs
• Involve Marketing Products if necessary to better align the offer to customers’ needs
• Own the full Hitachi proposition to consultants by continuously optimizing the link between consultant’s operation and our business objectives, needs, requirements and the Hitachi solutions in order to provider a total value solution and competitive advantage
• Understand & apply knowledge of competitor’s business products & solutions
• Work closely with Engineering, Product Management and Sales organizations supporting activities for current and new products
• Dealing with mechanical design, CAD design, document drafting.
