Description

Your new company

Join a nationally significant organisation undergoing a major enterprise-wide transformation program. Operating within a highly regulated and complex environment, this organisation is focused on driving operational excellence, improving organisational performance and strengthening its ability to deliver on critical strategic objectives.

This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in a high-profile transformation initiative that will influence stakeholders across executive, operational, technical and governance functions.

Your new role

As the Operational Excellence Management Stream Lead, you will provide strategic leadership across a critical work stream within a large-scale transformation program. Working closely with senior executives and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for driving business improvement outcomes, influencing organisational change and ensuring delivery momentum is maintained in a complex and evolving environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a significant enterprise transformation and operational excellence work stream.
  • Partnering with executive leaders to drive strategic organisational outcomes.
  • Managing complex stakeholder relationships across diverse business groups.
  • Facilitating discussions, workshops and decision-making forums to progress key initiatives.
  • Navigating sensitive, contested and ambiguous issues to achieve practical outcomes.
  • Providing program governance, reporting and assurance across multiple work streams.
  • Driving alignment between strategic objectives, operational priorities and delivery activities.
  • Identifying risks, dependencies and barriers to implementation while maintaining focus on outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be an accomplished senior transformation leader with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.

You will demonstrate:

  • Extensive executive-level leadership experience within large and complex organisations.
  • A proven track record delivering enterprise transformation, business improvement, remediation or large-scale change programs.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability.
  • Experience operating within highly regulated, risk-sensitive or governance-driven environments.
  • Strong facilitation, communication and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to work effectively through influence rather than formal authority.
  • Outstanding judgement, resilience and organisational awareness.
  • A history of successfully navigating competing priorities, organisational resistance and complex change environments.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and program delivery certifications will be highly regarded.

Experience within government, critical infrastructure, utilities, defence, energy, research, science, health or similarly complex environments will be highly advantageous.

What you'll get in return

  • Opportunity to lead a high-impact enterprise transformation initiative.
  • Exposure to executive decision-makers and strategic business priorities.
  • A collaborative and purpose-driven environment.
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements, including three days on-site in Sutherland.
