Our Story

Founded over 22 years ago, Grill’d started with a simple idea - to create healthy burgers that taste good and do good. Since then, we’ve grown from a single Melbourne restaurant into one of Australia’s most loved hospitality brands, with 180+ restaurants nationwide and exciting growth still ahead.

As we continue to expand and evolve, we’re looking for a Senior Designer to join our Creative team and help shape the next chapter of the Grill’d brand.

About the Role

Working alongside the Head of Creative, you’ll be a key creative force within the team - driving campaign development, lifting the quality of our creative output and helping junior designers do their best work.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves being on the tools. You’ll create and deliver work across digital channels including web, email, app and social, as well as in-restaurant touchpoints, menus, outdoor, uniforms and experiential media.

You’ll partner closely with Marketing and Digital, manage multiple projects from brief to delivery and act as a trusted brand guardian across every creative touchpoint.

Sound good? Here are some of the things you'll be doing:

• Lead campaign creative: Help develop and execute compelling integrated campaigns from concept through to final delivery. Produce high-quality assets for digital, social, print, presentations, guidelines and in-restaurant experiences
• Raise the creative bar: Bring fresh thinking, strong craft and bold ideas that build brand engagement and push beyond the expected
• Brand Champion: Maintain consistency, quality and alignment across all Grill’d creative outputs
• Guide the team: Support, mentor and inspire junior designers while working closely with the Head of Creative on priorities and approvals
• Own the workflow: Manage competing briefs and deadlines, strengthen filing and briefing practices, and continuously improve team processes
• Shape digital experiences: Collaborate with Digital to create dynamic content and customer experiences, with an appreciation for UX, UI, motion and storyboarding
• Design sustainably: Explore smarter, more sustainable approaches to creative production and delivery.

You'll also spend time working alongside our restaurant teams as part of your onboarding, giving you first-hand insight into the operations, people and culture that drive Grill’d's success.

Who We're Looking For:

• Senior Design experience: 8+ years’ experience, ideally within hospitality, retail, fashion or another fast-moving consumer brand
• A Standout portfolio: Demonstrated strength across campaign development, digital and print design, with excellent knowledge of design principles and production best practice
• Hands-on creative leadership: Confident leading end-to-end creative projects, presenting ideas and mentoring junior designers while remaining close to the work
• Master of the tools: Advanced Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop skills, plus strong working knowledge of Figma or similar design tools
• Digital curiosity: An understanding of UX and UI, with motion, animation, storyboarding, retouching or illustration skills highly regarded
• Calm under pressure: Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple briefs, stakeholders and tight deadlines at pace
• Clear communicator: Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, with the confidence to influence colleagues and senior stakeholders
• Creative problem solver: Imaginative, positive and customer-focused, with a genuine drive to improve both the work and the way it gets done
• Qualifications: A degree in Design or a related field is preferred, but not essential.
