Job Description Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research centre, the Aotearoa Centre for Leadership and Governance, to contribute to a research pipeline of critical leadership scholarship. This fellowship will aim to support the development of a promising early career researcher with the potential to pursue a career in the Business School. This is an exciting opportunity for emerging researchers who show the desire to develop a strong teaching and publication record in the business arena. Applications are encouraged from scholars who are committed to making a contribution to the Business School and an impact to Taumata Teitei, the University's vision and strategic plan, through research and teaching in any area of relevance to business. The fellowship combines research and teaching, with approximately 80% of time dedicated to research and 20% allocated to undergraduate teaching, typically within Stage I core Business School courses. Fellows will also contribute to an appropriate disciplinary area within the Business School through research publications, grant applications, and presentations of their research. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), fixed term (up to 12 months) opportunity. The remuneration is PDF 1-3: $92,213 - $97,083 NZD per annum, depending on experience and achievements, and will be aligned with our Academic Standards policy. Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the team The Aotearoa Centre for Leadership and Governance is a community of researchers dedicated to advancing leadership theory and practice that challenges and extends traditional understandings of leadership. Current research areas include leadership and grand challenges (such as sustainability and climate change), gender and feminist perspectives on leadership, and the role of power, identity, and resistance in leadership development. Centre members also lead and contribute to a range of leadership development programmes and interventions, including initiatives focused on student and youth leadership, and collaborate across disciplines on externally funded research projects. He kōrero mōu | About you You will hold a completed PhD in Leadership or a related field focused on collective processes and people working together towards a shared purpose. You will be a qualitative researcher with an emerging publication record and a demonstrated interest in critical leadership scholarship. Preference will be given to candidates from a critical, sociological, or interpretive research background, with knowledge of discourse, narrative, Foucauldian, post-human, or related interpretive methodologies.
