Department of Human Kinetics, Faculty of Science Part-Time Academic Instructor (HKIN 321:  Advanced Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries) The Department of Human Kinetics invites applications for a part-time Academic Instructor to teach one section of HKIN 321: Advanced Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries during either the Fall term 2026 OR the Winter 2027 {3 credits}. This section will be delivered in-person.  This position is subject to final budgetary approval.  The calendar description is as follows: An in-depth study of the assessment and management of athletic injuries. Students will learn proper assessment protocol, advanced assessment techniques, and specialized taping techniques.  We seek candidates with a background in Athletic Therapy. Previous teaching experience in this field is an asset. Qualified applicants should hold a PhD or Master’s degree in Kinesiology or a closely related field. Preference will be given to individuals who have strong teaching and communication skills. About the Department  Human Kinetics students pursue a four-year integrated program that focuses on human body movement from a variety of perspectives (athletic therapy, biomechanics, disability, exercise physiology, gender, growth, health, history, motor control, philosophy, physical education, sociology, psychology).
