Provide Supervision, Assistance & Oversight • Demonstrates a professional working knowledge of all equipment used in the delivery of nursing care.  • Assists with the development and implementation of policies and guidelines that reflect the philosophy of the Community.  • Utilizes sound nursing practice principals, the RN will ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care • Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs of the resident • Participates in conferences with the interdisciplinary team providing care to the residents 3. Provide Leadership and Guidance  • Acts as a role model for nursing team members performing within the professional guidelines of the College of Nurses of Ontario or the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and in accordance with relevant legislation  • Participates and/or delivers in-services and education with other nursing and other team members as required • Teaches RPN/LPN’s and PSW/HCA’s in relation to new skills • Fosters team learning by sharing knowledge among peers, acting as a resource person in areas of specialization, and providing follow-up and support for educational programs offered.
