Description

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Planner for the mobile machinery department of our client. This is a short-term contract of 4 months.

Under the supervision of the General Planner, the Planner will perform the following tasks:

  • Planning and balancing, preventive and corrective maintenance calendar;
  • Balancing Workload by worker;
  • Produce a weekly/monthly/annual schedule of preventive maintenance;
  • Planning of legal certification and training required for the trades used;
  • Optimization of preventive maintenance according to trades, type of machines and movement to minimise impact on Operations;
  • Planning with production teams or equipment users machine availability;
  • Adjust maintenance plan according to production needs and the machine life cycle and duration;
  • Ensure that the required equipment and parts are available for preventive maintenance;
  • Preparation, verification, and estimation of new work orders;
  • Assign work orders by technician.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Combination of a certification in mechanic AND a minimum of 5 years’ experience;
  • Experience in planning is mandatory;
  • Natural planning, coordination and communication skills;
  • Good analytical and decision-making skills;
  • Adaptability and responsivenes.
  • Being able to work on alternating shifts (day/night);
  • Having worked in the mining industry is an asset.
