JOB DESCRIPTION Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager / Operations Analyst, the Inventory Control Lead is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory management within the warehouse and transportation operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing the Inventory Control Coordinator, implementing best practices to optimize inventory processes, and supporting with admin work as necessary. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Inventory Management: Oversee daily inventory activities, ensuring accurate record-keeping and inventory levels. Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner. Receive and process inbound shipments. Operate forklift equipment as required. Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and provide guidance to the Inventory Control Coordinator. Train, mentor, and develop team members to achieve high performance. Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback. Delegate tasks and ensure their timely completion. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes and implement best practices. Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory control.
