Detta fordrar kunskaper om barn och unga samt deras utveckling. Den psykosociala insatsen bygger på kunskaper inom socialt arbete, psykosocialt förändringsarbete, sociologi, psykologi, socialjuridik samt en bred och fortlöpande uppdaterad kunskap om samhällets välfärdssystem. Som skolkurator förväntas du ansvar för det egna professionella arbetet och hur den psykosociala insatsen ska konkretiseras och utformas. Du förväntas ha god kännedom om det grundläggande uppdraget enligt skollag, läroplaner samt övriga styr- och vägledningsdokument.
