The role involves leading the operations of the Pastry Kitchen and will include key responsibilities such as: Take full responsibilities of kitchen section Create high quality and creative products Follow the instructions and recommendations from the Executive Sous Chef to complete the daily tasks Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with new pastries recipes and preparation techniques Instruct and lead subordinates through their daily requirements in food preparation and actively take part in pastry set up of buffets and special functions Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control Consult and check on daily pastry requirements, functions and last minute events Ensure high standards of hygiene within the pastry kitchen The ideal candidate must have 1 to 2 years of progressive work-related experience in the same role in a 5* city hotel in Dubai and has strong capabilities in handling multiple tasks & organizing, detail-oriented and, understanding of HACCP, proven track record of cost control including food, equipments, labor and waste to meet the food quality goals and the hotel’s financial goals.. Must promote and ensure good inter-departmental relations.
