About the job

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer based in the United States.

This is a senior technical pre-sales opportunity focused on helping enterprise customers solve complex cybersecurity and access challenges. You will own the technical side of sophisticated sales cycles, from discovery and solution design through validation, demonstrations, and close. The role requires close partnership with Account Executives, customers, and channel partners to translate security requirements into compelling technical solutions and measurable business value. You will engage with stakeholders ranging from security and infrastructure teams to CISOs, OT professionals, and senior technical decision-makers. Beyond individual deals, you will help shape technical pre-sales best practices and mentor other Sales Engineers across the organization. This is an ideal opportunity for a cybersecurity professional who enjoys solving complex problems, building customer trust, and making an impact in a fast-moving environment.

Accountabilities

  • Own the technical aspects of enterprise sales cycles from initial discovery and requirements gathering through technical validation, Proofs of Concept, and close.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to understand customer requirements, identify technical challenges, and position appropriate cybersecurity solutions.
  • Lead engaging product demonstrations, technical presentations, architecture discussions, workshops, and Proofs of Concept for enterprise customers.
  • Engage with CISOs, security teams, infrastructure and network professionals, OT specialists, and other technical and business stakeholders.
  • Translate complex cybersecurity and operational requirements into clear technical architectures, solutions, and business value.
  • Build trusted customer relationships and act as a credible technical advisor throughout the sales process.
  • Support a channel-focused go-to-market strategy by collaborating with partners and contributing to partner-led sales opportunities.
  • Establish and promote technical pre-sales methodologies, standards, and best practices across the US organization.
  • Mentor and support other Sales Engineers through knowledge sharing, deal collaboration, technical guidance, and coaching.
  • Gather structured customer and market feedback and communicate relevant insights to Product, R&D, Customer Success, and other internal teams.
  • Stay informed about cybersecurity trends, competitive technologies, and developments across Zero Trust, identity, network security, and OT security.
  • Take ownership of complex opportunities and contribute proactively to the continued development of technical pre-sales capabilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or in a comparable customer-facing technical pre-sales role.
  • Strong preference for experience with a cybersecurity vendor, particularly in enterprise security solutions.
  • Proven track record supporting complex enterprise B2B sales cycles and technical evaluations.
  • Strong technical foundation in networking, identity and access management, authentication, Zero Trust, privileged access, network security, or related areas.
  • Ability to understand complex customer environments and design, communicate, and demonstrate appropriate technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering technical demonstrations, presentations, workshops, and Proofs of Concept to enterprise customers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with highly technical audiences as well as senior business and security leaders.
  • Strong customer presence, consultative approach, and ability to establish technical credibility quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage ownership of opportunities, and prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in mentoring colleagues and helping teammates develop their capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required to support customers, partners, and sales opportunities.
  • Experience with OT/ICS security or critical infrastructure environments is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of Privileged Access Management, secure remote access, micro-segmentation, or Zero Trust Network Access is preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial networking or IT/OT environments is a plus.
  • Experience working with channel partners, VARs, MSSPs, or systems integrators is advantageous.
  • Experience in a high-growth cybersecurity company or startup environment is a plus.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work on complex cybersecurity challenges affecting critical enterprise environments.
  • High-impact role with significant influence over technical pre-sales strategy and best practices.
  • Collaboration with highly technical professionals across a global organization.
  • Opportunity to mentor other Sales Engineers and contribute to team development.
  • Exposure to enterprise customers, strategic partners, and senior security stakeholders.
  • Opportunity to work across Zero Trust, identity, network security, privileged access, and OT security technologies.
  • Fast-paced environment that values ownership, collaboration, resourcefulness, and measurable impact.
  • Opportunity to contribute customer and market insights directly to Product, R&D, and Customer Success teams.
  • Travel opportunities to support strategic customers, partners, and sales engagements.
