Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

• We are looking for an Accountant to manage accounting activities related to retail and online sales channels such as Amazon, Noon, Shopify, and any other similar e-commerce platforms. The role will be responsible for invoicing and billing, payment reconciliation, collections, stock reconciliation, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collection.
• Perform month-end closing procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare Proforma Invoices, sales invoices, and billing documents for retail and e-commerce channels based on purchase orders and monthly sales reports.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and customer collections.
• Perform customer and vendor ledger reconciliations.
• Reconcile daily payments and receipts.
• Perform stock reconciliation with e-commerce partners and marketplaces.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and account reconciliations and prepare related reports.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, returns, credit notes, and adjustments.
• Support day-to-day retail and e-commerce accounting operations and month-end closing activities.
• Assist with VAT and Corporate Tax (CT) return preparation and filing.
• Record and reconcile vendor invoices in the ERP system.
• Assist with other accounting and finance-related activities as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce, retail, distribution, or general trading.
• Experience working with platforms such as Amazon, Noon, Shopify, or any other similar marketplaces.
• Good knowledge of customer/vendor reconciliation, bank reconciliation, inventory reconciliation, and collections.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Good communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Logistics knowledge will be an added advantage.
• UAE accounting experience and knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax will be an advantage.
• Experience with accounting software such as Tally Prime.
