MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB
The ward has 18 beds and takes both males and females. The crisis resolution and home treatment team (CRHT) are also based within the ward building and the 2 services work closely together to manage patients both in hospital and those in the community receiving crisis support. The CRHT has a Speciality Doctor and this post holder will be expected to support them and provide cover to each other when needed.
The ward sits on the Northgate site which is also the base for many of the locality community services including adult community mental health teams, children and family teams, early intervention team and older people’s community mental health team.
There is a full multi-disciplinary compliment of staffing to deliver excellent quality care to the patients.
A range of other professionals with varying levels of expertise support the inpatient ward. This includes, operational managers, nurses, clinical psychologists, social workers, pharmacists, occupational therapists, administrative staff. The services are delivered as part of a multi-disciplinary team that works with individual patients.
