REQUIREMENTS

• UK Dispensing qualification (NVQ Level 2 dispensary assistant qualification)
• Experience of working in a pharmacy/dispensary environment
• Attentive to detail
• Experience of working with technology systems for the purposes of dispensing
• A can-do attitude, being prepared to get things done within the team
• An appreciation for the importance of respect and confidentiality of patients

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The role works within the dispensary team and reports into the Dispensary Manager. As a key member of the dispensary team, you will be accountable for delivering the technical aspects of a dispenser and ensuring the safe supply of medicines. This includes the assembly and labelling of medicines and preparation of dossett boxes. Using our own developed technology system. Due to the high number of prescriptions fulfilled within our dispensary operation there is a high requirement for attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Dispensing and assembly of patient orders
• Dispensing and assembly of dossett boxes for patient orders and care homes
• Assisting and supporting with other daily dispensary tasks when required
• Working to achieve the daily plan set for the day
• Contributing to improvements in processes and workflows
