POSITION SUMMARY
Join our dynamic team as a Lead Mechanical Project Engineer, where you’ll play a pivotal role in the expansion of a mineral processing plant. Based on-site in Perth, WA, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the client team throughout the construction phase. This is a 9-month contract with the potential for extension, offering a FIFO roster of 2 weeks on, 1 week off, with 11-hour workdays. As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will report to the Project Engineering Manager and be responsible for overseeing the engineering aspects of the project. Your expertise in base metals, rare earth minerals, and mineral processing techniques such as Crushing, Grinding, and Flotation will be crucial. You will lead and collaborate with a diverse team, ensuring project deliverables are met on time and to the highest standards. We are looking for an innovative thinker with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, who has strong technical competence and the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously. Previous site experience in mineral processing plants is preferred, and you must have valid rights to work in Australia.
