Description Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Billing Manager to join our team. The Billing Manager at Westwood is a key member of our Finance leadership team, responsible for the organization's billing process. This role requires exceptional leadership, attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The Billing Manager will ensure accurate and timely billing, resolve billing discrepancies, and provide strategic guidance and support to the organization. Requirements Oversee the full lifecycle of invoicing, including data verification, invoice generation, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of billing information. Lead month-end billing close procedures and reporting. Partner with project managers, organizational leadership, and other stakeholders to gather necessary billing information and resolve any billing-related issues efficiently. Conduct routine review of billing data to identify and resolve discrepancies, inconsistencies and/or errors. Ensure compliance with Westwood's billing policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulatory standards. Become subject matter expert for billing within VantagePoint (ERP system) including but not limited to reporting, project setup, transactions, etc. Oversee Billing Team communications and offer timely guidance and support. Assist with Accounts Receivable inquiries and provide resolution as needed. Prepare and provide guidance around lien waiver process as needed. Other duties as assigned. Team Leadership Responsibilities: Supervise Billing staff and ensure quality/accuracy of all Biller work product. Deliver both one-on-one and group training to new Billers and Project Managers on billing processes/procedures. Coordinate and perform invoicing training for newly acquired entities. Design and conduct large-scale trainings for organizational groups as needed. Facilitate weekly billing team meetings to align priorities and address challenges. Provide expert guidance to the billing team and assist in resolving complex billing issues. Oversee team development, mentorship, performance evaluations/growth planning, and personnel decisions for assigned billing staff. Collaborate with IT on all billing related initiatives to enhance productivity and achieve organizational goals. Provide data-driven insight and foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including division leadership, project managers, and finance team members, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
