The Senior Manager, Science and Technology Communications is responsible for managing integrated communications strategies that elevate our reputation as a leader in AI-driven innovation and scientific excellence, with the goal of driving collaboration, enterprise growth, and adoption of new capabilities. This role involves partnering directly with scientific and communications leaders and external vendors to define audiences, coordinate content production, and serve as a connector across Danaher Corporation.
This position is part of Corporate Communications and will be Remote.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or 10+ years of experience in science writing, editorial strategy, or communications roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industries.
  • Expertise and significant experience in translating complex scientific and technical concepts into accessible content for internal and external audiences.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans that align with organizational goals, including strong project management skills and experience working with cross-functional teams and external agencies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to advise and collaborate with senior executives.
  • Proficiency in digital content production, social media strategy, and analytics.

    The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $165,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
    This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
    We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.

Responsibilities

Storytelling and Communication: This role will plan and develop content and materials for Danaher Science and Technology integrated (internal and external) communications initiatives, positioning Danaher as an AI-enabled innovator and activating science and technology associates within the company. Candidates should have a history of coordinating internal and external teams to ensure timely project completion and establish standard frameworks for corporate content production across stakeholders.
Segmentation and targeting: This role will require technical expertise, strategy development experience and messaging targeting specific external and internal audiences. Candidates should know when to remain high-level or dive into details. They should be able to articulate future innovation and enterprise growth initiatives internally and externally without relying on product features.
Cross-organizational Collaboration: This role will work closely with teams across Danaher Corporation and Danaher operating companies, as well as key vendors, to achieve joint goals. The candidate is expected to help establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the success of integrated Science & Technology communications and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. This individual will work closely with vendors to analyze trends and own reporting of key findings to leadership teams at a regular cadence.

Specific projects are likely to include:

  • Management of Thought Leadership: Collaborate and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to craft and amplify Danaher’s thought leadership in science and innovation. Help develop thought leadership platforms for senior scientific leaders, leveraging authenticity and expertise to build trust and influence.
  • Internal AI Communications: Develop and manage internal communications strategies around AI initiatives to drive cultural adoption of AI-driven tools and methodologies.
  • Internal Science Communications: Coordinate internal communications for the Corporation focused on high-value scientific projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
