Job Description DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking highly motivated Herbicide Applicator Technicians responsible for spraying right aways, roadsides, removing weeds, trimming, and cutting grass and brush. This is accomplished with a spray truck, an ATV, a backpack sprayer, or by dragging a hose. Complete all DOT required truck inspections completely (responsible to identify and trouble shoot truck/spray system issues or needed repairs. Keep truck and equipment clean and always organized. Individuals will be trained to be capable of calibrating all spray equipment. Individuals will be trained in the basic understanding of weed, grass, and brush types. Individuals will be trained to have a general knowledge of methods and chemicals used, what they control, and all safety requirements to meet the customers' expectations. Qualifications EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. EXPERIENCE: 18+ years of age or older. A valid driver's license required with clean MVR. Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, and motor vehicle record review. Must be able to travel away from home for up to 4-6 weeks at a time, 1 week home time. (Hotel paid for by DCS and per-diem). At least 3 years of herbicide application experience required: Large scale commercial property is preferred. Commercial Pesticide Applicators preferred: Category C6, but not required for hire. This license will need to be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
