JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Senior Data Governance Lead is a subject matter expert and implementation leader within the Digital Transformation & Innovation (DT&I) Data Office, responsible for championing and operationalizing data governance strategies that enable trusted, accessible, and high-value data across the organization. Acting as a mentor to the junior Data Governance Leads, this role ensures that governance practices are consistent and embedded into enterprise data workflows, tools, and culture.
This individual will play a hands-on leadership role in designing, implementing, and optimizing core governance capabilities—including data cataloging, metadata stewardship, intake and prioritization models, and data literacy programs. The role will partner closely with data owners, stewards, business leaders, and technical teams to deliver scalable and sustainable governance solutions that align with enterprise priorities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree Information Systems, Business Administration, or similar required
• Master’s degree Information Systems, Business Administration, or similar preferred
• 5+ years of experience in a combination of data management and data governance roles required
• 3+ years of experience in implementing data governance in a business environment required
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) preferred
• Position located in Nashville, TN
