JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various telecommunication systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, network installation, and cabling techniques to ensure optimal performance of our services. The Cable Technician will work closely with clients to deliver high-quality service and support.
*Willingness to travel to TX, TN, MD, NC, OK, and around the Danville/Lynchburg areas.
Lead Technician to assist them with pulling terminating and testing fiber and Cat6 cable. Interested in lead experienced individuals that are based in the Danville, VA area but are willing to travel from time to time based on client and business needs. Will be working in warehouses, Machine Shops, New Builds, and Renovations so they must be extremely familiar with OSHA standards and may have to take OSHA exams if required by clients. They also must have experience driving forklifts, boom lifts. Would be a plus if they have boom lift certification but Motley will get them certified if they don’t already have it.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience in electrical work or as a service technician in the telecommunications field is preferred.
• Familiarity with network installation processes and computer networking principles is essential.
• Knowledge of cabling standards and practices, including fiber splicing techniques, is a plus.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and testing equipment related to cable installation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
