Role Overview The EHS Representative is responsible for overseeing and continuously improving the environmental, health, and safety programs across Chase Corporation’s Pittsburgh, PA facilities. This role ensures regulatory compliance, promotes a strong safety culture, and leads the implementation of EHS initiatives across the region. This is a multi-site role that requires strong collaboration with internal teams and external regulatory bodies. Key Responsibilities * Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management * Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state environmental regulations, including hazardous waste, air emissions, stormwater, USTs, and DOT requirements. * Conduct routine audits, risk assessments, and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and identify areas for improvement. * Manage required EHS reporting, permitting, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. * Training & Safety Culture * Develop and deliver EHS training programs, including in-person sessions to supplement online modules. * Support a culture of safety through initiatives such as incident tracking, safety observations, and incentive programs (e.g., safety bingo). * Ensure all mandatory safety and environmental training is completed and documented. * Project Management & Continuous Improvement * Lead the implementation and tracking of EHS projects and corrective actions across all assigned sites. * Identify and execute safety and environmental improvement initiatives, aligning with corporate objectives. * Engage with employees at all levels to reinforce a proactive, compliance-driven safety culture. * Communication & External Engagement * Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, handling both written and verbal communications. * Collaborate with plant leadership and corporate EHS to align on goals, share best practices, and ensure program consistency. Qualifications * Minimum 8 years of EHS experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. * In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards and practical experience applying them in a manufacturing setting. * Strong background in chemical safety, environmental compliance, and hazardous materials management. * Excellent consultative, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong follow-through. * EHS certifications such as REM, ASP, or CSP are a plus. * Working knowledge of ISO 14001.   Education * Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related sciences required (Bachelor’s preferred).
