Join Our Team as Material Handlers! Are you passionate about logistics? S&C Electric Company is seeking dynamic individuals for our logistics function. As Material Handlers, you will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity and must meet requirements within predetermined time constraints. Tasks require the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion. Key Responsibilities: * Use a Forklift (electric or propane), tugger, overhead crane, and other equipment to deliver materials both inside and outside of the manufacturing facility. Review job orders and internal requests to determine the appropriate location and drop-off procedure. * Monitor restock requests and move materials to locations that will soon need more materials. * Measure part quantity and type using scales and hand tools to ensure supply requests are fulfilled accurately. * Review works orders and part drawings to accurately determine which parts and materials are needed for specific jobs and areas. * Utilize trigger cards and internal applications to identify where new materials are needed, ensuring accuracy in quantities and that proper procedures are followed. * Utilize Oracle ERP to review packing slips and bills of material. Check work orders and inspect materials to confirm accuracy and report quality concerns when necessary. * Mentors basic-level team members in the completion of their work to help their professional growth. * Complete electronic forklift safety inspections daily on each truck used. * Participate in LPS improvements, acting as a subject matter expert and problem solver for different activities. * Meet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards. * Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.   What you’ll Need To Succeed: * 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in a material handling or related role within a manufacturing environment. * 1-3 years of driving a forklift in a manufacturing environment with a safe driving record. * Ability to operate both an electric and propane-powered forklift for indoor and outdoor use. * Sound attention to detail, with the ability to determine accurate order quantities consistently and enter information correctly in the ERP system. * Ability to work independently and meet the requirements of assigned materials requests. * Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of production support departments. * Good computer skills with the ability to review and respond to requests via internal applications.
