The Residential Counselor supports individuals diagnosed with a Developmental Disability live as independently as possible, while providing evidence-based treatment and care, within a group living environment. They provide guidance, support and perform various levels of activities of daily living. Through implementing procedures that ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals, counselors ensure individuals are living a healthy, productive, and independent life. Counselors are strong advocates for individuals served, believe in the power of community, and acknowledge the importance of community integration! Other Key Responsibilities: Assist in developing individualized, person-centered treatment plans and play a lead role in the daily implementation plans. Implement all procedures that ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals and general cleanliness and safety of the physical site. Assist individuals to access and/or provide transportation. Review and complete all required documentation.
