Position Summary We are seeking a Community Land Trust & Development Intern to join our team, to support the team through all stages of the development process. This role requires a passion for developing the skills needed to deliver social purpose real estate projects by working collaboratively with a wide variety of project stakeholders. The successful candidate will be curious, able to focus on the details without losing sight of the big picture, and a commitment to learning and growing in the role. There will be two (2) intern positions. Duration: July 6, 2026 - August 28, 2026 (8 weeks) Special Notes The successful candidate must be available to complete the full eight-week internship. Why This Internship? Hands-on Experience: Work on impactful, real-world projects focused on nonprofit housing development, community planning, and engagement that allow you to build skills that make a difference. Mentorship: Learn directly from experienced professionals in non-profit development and project coordination. Skill Building: Gain practical skills in project management, financial & technical literacy, problem solving & accountability, communication & collaboration, community-centered practice & cultural competency, stakeholder engagement, and communications. Networking: Connect with community leaders, organizations, and professionals in the Lower Mainland’s non-profit sector and Black community. What You’ll Do Support project planning and administration for community initiatives. Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and document management. Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and manage follow-up tasks. Help prepare presentations and reports for diverse audiences. Contribute to improving organizational systems and templates. Support the leadership and development team with day-to-day tasks and initiatives What We’re Looking For Enrolled in a post-secondary program such as urban studies and planning, community development and social sciences, business and nonprofit management, or communications and public engagement programs. Property management experience Strong organizational and communication skills. Comfortable with MS Office (especially Excel) and collaborative tools. Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn. Previous experience in community work or non-profits is an asset but not required. Lived experience as part of the Black community or other racialized communities.
