About the Role

The Digital team is delivering a multi-year modernisation program to transform customer services, improve operations and deliver better digital experiences through new Salesforce CRM, workflow and customer portal solutions.

 

As Principal Delivery Manager, you will lead the design, development and implementation of a flagship digital platform, including the transition from legacy systems. Managing two to three Agile delivery squads, you will oversee delivery, risks, reporting and governance while building a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of a flagship digital platform, including solution design, development, implementation, data migration and legacy-system decommissioning.
  • Manage two to three Agile delivery squads, facilitating ceremonies, sprint planning and workflows to achieve agreed release milestones.
  • Oversee the delivery of Salesforce CRM, business workflow and customer portal capabilities.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers and business analysts to define requirements, acceptance criteria, product priorities and delivery roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, analysts and testers to estimate effort, manage technical risks, resolve defects and deliver high-quality products.
  • Act as the principal delivery authority for the project, representing the program through executive governance processes and stakeholder communications.
  • Provide regular reporting on delivery progress, team performance, financials, risks, issues and stakeholder engagement.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies, escalating matters to the Principal Program Manager when required.
  • Coordinate input from ICT, Privacy, Procurement, Legal, Communications, Policy, vendors and other subject-matter experts.
  • Ensure delivery remains aligned with customer needs, business requirements and evolving operational processes.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and proactively address competing priorities or potential conflicts.
  • Manage project budgets, monthly forecasting and resource allocation across squads and workstreams.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding activities to maintain delivery capacity and continuity.
  • Oversee go-live planning and transition activities, ensuring technical readiness, operational preparedness and compliance.
  • Partner with business owners and change managers to support staff training, customer communications and adoption of the future-state solution.
  • Foster an accountable, collaborative and high-performing delivery culture while continuously improving Agile ways of working.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience leading complex technical delivery programs or projects, ideally involving system replacement and business-process transformation.
  • Experience delivering CRM (specifically Salesforce) and/or Business Process Management (BPM) solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence and Microsoft tools.
  • Hands-on experience leading Agile technology delivery teams and multiple delivery squads.
  • Strong project governance, risk, issue, budget and resource-management capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and executive-reporting skills.
  • A delivery-focused approach, with the ability to work at pace, adapt to change and maintain high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working within NSW Government practices and standards, or the demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to them.
