QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS:

1. Early Childhood Education Certificate, with a minimum of one years’ experience working with children aged 0 - 6 years. Infant Toddler Certificate and/or Special Needs Certificate is an asset.
2. Previous current and relevant experience in a childcare setting.
3. Understanding and sensitivity to the needs of young children, and their parents/caregivers.
4. Cross-cultural experience and knowledge of settlement issues.
5. Ability to plan daily activities appropriate to the curriculum of the program.
6. Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
7. Excellent time management skills.
8. Ability to communicate effectively in English, oral and written.
9. Standard First Aid and CPR training; Child Safe training and Food Safe training are assets.
10. A criminal record check is a condition of employment.
11. Second language an asset
    A Criminal Record Check is a requirement of employment.
