Design and develop control systems, including hardware and software components, to meet the specific requirements of a project. Develop and implement control algorithms and logic. Integrate control systems with existing or new equipment, machinery, or processes. Test and debug control systems to ensure proper functionality and adherence to specifications. Identify andresolve any issues or malfunctions through systematic troubleshooting and debugging techniques. Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, user manuals, andmaintenance procedures. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resourcing, including managing the procurement ofnecessary equipment and materials. Define project objectives, scope, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders, including identifying opportunities for additional automation and electrification scope within the project. Manage project risks and issues, including developing contingency plans and mitigating strategies, and communicating progress and challenges to stakeholders and senior leadership. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and supply chain, to ensure alignmentand timely delivery of project milestones. Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial engineering; preferably in Pulp & Paper. Consulting engineering experience an asset. Registered as a PEO or OIQ. Strong understanding of automation and electrification technologies, including knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and emerging trends.
