Responsibilities & Duties include: Remain alert and awake at all times Implement and maintain structure within the program and create/follow a routine Provide intensive supervision, documentation, and organization Utilize strong verbal de-escalation and positive strong boundaries Basic meal preparation and light housekeeping Conduct daily room inspections and15-minute bed checks with a focus on safety and security Transport clients to and from school, activities, appointments, etc. Attend treatment team and required trainings Document incidents, shift summaries, behaviors and any other necessary items. Responsible for working with youth who have emotional and behavioral issues resulting from trauma and neglect, and who display verbal and physical aggression. This screening includes state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances. If the applicant has lived in any other state within the past five years, equivalent background and abuse/neglect checks from those states will also be conducted. In addition, all direct care applicants are required to complete a health evaluation or physical prior to beginning service to confirm they are fit for duty.
