About the Role The Corporate HS&W Advisor role involves working directly with a range of services within LCC. The service, which is ISO45001 certified, sits within People Services, winners PPMA Public Sector Team of the Year Award 2021, meaning we work closely with Human Resources, Organisational Development and Learning and Development teams. The corporate and traded teams work closely together creating a supportive environment for staff to develop their knowledge and experience from each other. This is a great opportunity for you to develop your expertise through exposure to a broad range of work and a variety of work environments and challenges. About You The post is available as a combination of office and home working and involves travel to Council sites across Leicestershire. You'll have a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Level 3) or equivalent qualification. You'll have IOSH Technical Membership. You'll have experience of undertaking health, safety, and wellbeing activities, including good knowledge and understanding of hazards, risks and control measures that can be applied to a broad range of service areas. You'll have knowledge and understanding of ISO45001. You'll be able to write accurate and concise health and safety reports using template documents. You'll be a strong, concise, and effective communicator at all levels, including the ability to deliver Health and Safety training. You'll be able to demonstrate a fluent understanding of ICT programmes, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. This role will require regular travel across Leicestershire, so a valid driving licence, access to a vehicle and business use insurance is required.
