Valsoft is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Finance team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Accounting Manager plays a central role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data and compliance with accounting and tax standards. This role involves managing accounting operations, overseeing financial reporting, and supporting financial analysis. The Accounting Manager will also review and assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, maintain compliance with financial regulations, and strengthen internal controls while leading a small team.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
  • 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience in public accounting or a mix of public and corporate accounting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards

Le Gestionnaire comptable joue un rôle central dans l’exactitude des données financières et la conformité aux normes comptables et fiscales. Cette personne gérera les opérations comptables, supervisera la préparation des rapports financiers et contribuera aux analyses financières. QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES / MINIMALES:

  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité, finance ou domaine connexe (CPA ou CMA préféré)
  • 4 à 7 ans d’expérience progressive en comptabilité
  • Expérience en cabinet comptable ou combinaison cabinet + entreprise un atout
  • Bonne connaissance des normes de présentation de l’information financière

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flows)
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist operators in expense control
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closings
  • Assist in developing and managing annual budgets and forecasts
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
