Description

ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER (APM)

HF Controls Corporation (HFC) specializes in the design and construction of digital control systems for a variety of power and industrial applications. Based on sound technological advancements, we supply our customers with an array of advanced control hardware, software applications, and support services that offer distributed intelligence and information management for the most reliable process control solutions. With over five decades of innovation and manufacturing of control systems in hundreds of installations around the world, our coverage is strengthened by our experienced field service faculty, robust technical support, and extensive training capabilities.
We are currently seeking an individual who can take on the role of our Assistant Project Manager (APM). The individual will work in a project management and operation team environment, so a positive attitude and teamwork spirit is an essential. This position will require to be responsible for assisting the Project Manager with the daily management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of the project(s).

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelors’ degree and 2 years’ experience in project management or planner in electrical or automation engineering
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong negotiating skills and strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Highly organized and able to multitask
· Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS word, and industry standard project management software and ERP software platforms (Macola platforms is a plus).
· Knowledgeable in procurement process for Printed Circuit Board
· Knowledgeable in procurement process for electrical components and power supplies
· Knowledgeable in Bill Of Material for mechanical parts like cabinet, frame, racks, bezels
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
· Bilingual in Korean and English (MUST)

Responsibilities

· Act as the primary contact with Project Manager
· Create, Manage, and Close Routing Sheets (Shop Floor Orders)
· Ability to issue correct parts to the projects using the Shop Floor Orders
· Ability to read and understand Bill of Materials (BOM) and Mechanical Drawings
· Control and monitor the project schedules provided by the Project Manager to ensure on-time delivery
· Assign priorities to Test & Repair and Manufacturing departments based on the project schedules
· Communicate with Quality Assurance/Quality Control department to maintain the inspection schedule based on project schedules.
· Generate Project Quality Plan to define the necessary procedures to be used and activities to be performed
· Perform risk analysis based on the previous similar or same project experiences
· Decide material shortage and order quantity based on the project budget
· Define safety margin for obsolete and long lead time components with Project Manager and Buyer
· Daily follow up with Buyer to ensure on-time material delivery
· Report issues found during the product testing to Project Manager to decide the corrective/mitigation actions
· Coordinate with QC and Engineering to clarify issues found during inspections
· Generate Shipping Documents and contact freight forwarders to schedule for project shipping with PM approval
