The incumbent in this position will work closely with the facility youth workers, on-call physicians, psychiatrists, Emergency Services, the Adolescent Psychiatry Unit, Community Mental Health and Addiction Services, and other Region and community stakeholders to develop and deliver high quality services for youth suffering from severe drug addiction or drug abuse. In addition, the incumbent provides patient and family education and support while the patient is on the unit and acts as a role model and clinical resource regarding management of psychiatric, intoxicated and aggressive patients.
