Department Overview:
The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service. This position reports to (supervisor): Deborah Duran-Snell The duties of this position include: teaching in the nurse-midwifery education program (focus area), and clinical practice/clinical teaching in the OHSU Nurse-Midwifery Faculty Practice. Participation in scholarship and service is also an expected part of this academically focused position.
Function/Duties of Position:

EDUCATION ACTIVITIES (INCLUDE TYPES OF TEACHING AND TYPES OF STUDENT TAUGHT):

• Provides effective didactic instruction based on teaching assignment using appropriate instructional technologies to ensure that course outcomes are met.
• Participates collaboratively in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum.
• Mentors and advises students.
• Supervise students in DNP clinical inquiry projects

EDUCATION (DEGREE DEPENDENT ON ACADEMIC PROGRAM TYPE AND RANK OF POSITION.):

• PhD/DNP or equivalent

EXPERIENCE (EXPERIENCE DEPENDENT ON ACADEMIC PROGRAM TYPE AND RANK OF POSITION.):

• A minimum of three years of full scope midwifery practice is required;
• 3 years of clinical practice experience required
