Description Personalcare Registered Professional Nursing P.C. is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work as the Mental Health Nurse in the Medical Department at the Monroe County Jail located in Rochester, NY. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position, 8:00am-4:30pm. Hourly rate: $30.00-35.00. Job Responsibilities: The Licensed Practical Nurse will primarily be responsible for the clinical monitoring, coordinating, and implementing of the mental health program in accordance with NCCHC/ACA Standards and PCM policies and procedures. Other responsibilities will include: Maintaining accurate records of all controlled substances, narcotics and sharps in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. Conducting sick call for patients and provide treatment illnesses and injuries, defined by written protocol and approved by Personalcare Registered Professional Nursing P.C. Medical Director. Observing, reporting, and documenting symptoms, reactions and progress of inmates/patients and participate in the formulation of the plan of care. Record, retrieve and file medical information in the inmate/patient medical record. Serve as the PCM mental health liaison between the medical unit, facility staff, and psychiatric/psychological services outside the facility. Facilitates admission and placement of inmates/patients in forensic and community Mental Health facilities. Monitors all psychiatric/psychological services provided. Monitor the standards of care in accordance with NCCHC and accepted psychiatric/psychological standards.
