Actors Fund Home, an assisted living, skilled nursing, accredited dementia care and sub-acute rehabilitation center located in Englewood, NJ, and a recipient of a CMS Five Star Rating is seeking Full Time or Per-Diem Licensed Practical Nurses to provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN to our residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistants. JOB DUTIES * Ensures that all residents are assessed and evaluated as per policy and procedure throughout their stay by reviewing resident's plan of care. * Coordinates nursing services to ensure that the resident’s total regimen of care is maintained. * Prepares and administers medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with current federal, state and local standards. * Ensures that an adequate supply of floor stock medications, medical supplies and equipment is on hand to meet nursing needs of the residents. * Administers professional services such treatments of catheterization, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings/ bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, etc. as required. * Completes and files required records/forms/charts upon the resident’s admission and residence. * Reports and investigates all allegations of resident abuse and or misappropriation of resident property. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. * Active license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in the State of New Jersey required. * Minimum of 1-year experience working as an LPN. * Knowledge of electronic charting a plus. * Adaptable and able to manage competing priorities and crisis. * Tactful and courteous with residents, families, practitioners and others. * Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary. * Have an understanding of, affection for, and a desire to work with the aging.
