Candidates must possess a master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution and hold an unencumbered professional RN nursing license in Virginia, with an Illinois RN License being required for teaching all courses. A minimum of two years of professional experience as a registered nurse within the last five years in the area of instruction, along with active BLS certification, is also mandatory.
