The City of Santa Fe’s tourism division, TOURISM Santa Fe (TSF), works to promote the city, and its community and attractions, to help visitors discover all of Santa Fe’s unique vacation opportunities. The Tourism Research & Data Analyst serves as the research lead, and is responsible for planning, organizing and conducting research on domestic and international visitor characteristics, satisfaction, and expenditures for the city of Santa Fe. The Tourism Research & Data Analyst develops TSF’s overall research plan and determines how to incorporate this into TSF’s strategic plan. The department’s Research & Data Analyst is responsible for elevating Santa Fe’s brand awareness as the primary destination for the venturesome traveler by 1) managing all research functions to support databased decisions, 2) gleaning actionable research insights to yield stronger results, 3) identifying, assessing and reporting to leadership on department-wide key performance indicators, 4) developing case studies, feasibility and other assessments on various tourism related policy, product development and business opportunities, 5) oversight and management of the Santa Fe Data Platform, a free resource available to Santa Fe’s tourism and hospitality industry that offers five comprehensive dashboards. These objectives further drive TOURISM Santa Fe toward its mission of growing the city’s economy through tourism.
