Includes participation in hospital orientation and departmental and community inservice education and programs as directed. * Assists with the planning and implementation of new programs.    Physical Therapist Education and Experience Requirements:  * BS, MS or DPT degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy required. * Licensure by the state of Connecticut required. * Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required. * Minimum of one-year clinical experience preferred.     Physical Therapist Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  * Ability to review physicians' referral, patients' condition, and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required. * Demonstrate skills in order to perform tests and measure patients' strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, along with respiratory and circulatory efficiency. * Plan and prepare written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data with realistic, objective, long and short-term goals and time frames. * Records treatment, response, progress and discharge information in patients' chart or enters information into computer, in measurable and objective terms as dictated by department policy. * Knowledge to administer individualized programs of physical therapy as determined by the physicians' order and the initial evaluation.
