The Role As an Alarm Technician, you’ll install, program, test, inspect, and service low-voltage life-safety and security systems for commercial and residential clients. You’ll represent MAC on-site, ensuring clean workmanship, code-compliant installs, and a great customer experience. What You’ll Do • Install, program, and commission intrusion/burglary, video/CCTV, card access, fire alarm, and alarm monitoring communicators per scope and drawings. • Perform scheduled inspections, testing, and maintenance; document results in accordance with NFPA 72 best practices. • Troubleshoot devices, panels, networks, and power/communication issues; execute repairs and replacements. • Read/interpret plans, risers, one-lines, specs, and AHJ comments; update redlines and as builts. • Train end users and provide post-install support in coordination with MAC’s monitoring team. • Collaborate with project managers and sales on site readiness, change orders, and punch list closeout. • Participate in an on-call rotation to support MAC’s 24/7/365 service commitment.
