About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team within a residential care home setting.

You will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting independence, dignity, choice and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting
• Support residents with mobility and daily living activities
• Assist with meals and feeding where required
• Monitor and record residents’ health and wellbeing
• Provide emotional support and companionship
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment
• Follow individual care plans and support residents in line with their assessed needs
• Report any changes, concerns or risks to senior staff
• Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, infection control and other relevant policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate and professional care records

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Previous experience in a care or support role
• A caring, patient and respectful approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
• A valid DBS or willingness to complete the required DBS process
• Up-to-date All-in-One Mandatory Training, which must include the required practical elements
• Practical Manual Handling training
• Practical Basic Life Support training
