About the Role
Are you a seasoned occupational hygiene professional ready to take your expertise to the next level? Bureau Veritas is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead the technical delivery of occupational hygiene services within our AVOH division.
This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on solving complex health risk challenges, delivering expert consultancy, and shaping best practice across diverse industrial environments. You’ll be the trusted advisor to clients, the technical authority on major projects, and a key contributor to business growth and innovation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering high-level consultancy in exposure assessment, workplace monitoring, and health risk evaluation
• Leading complex projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction
• Supporting business development through proposal writing, client engagement, and strategic input
• Staying ahead of UK legislation, HSE guidance, and emerging occupational hygiene standards
• Acting as a technical mentor to consultants and contributing to internal knowledge sharing
• Representing Bureau Veritas at industry events, forums, and professional networks
• Maintaining professional certifications and promoting excellence in occupational hygiene practice

What You’ll Bring

• Significant experience in occupational hygiene consultancy
• Chartered Occupational Hygienist or Licentiate member of BOHS (or equivalent)
• Proven track record in technical delivery and client-facing consultancy
• Deep expertise in exposure science, workplace health risks, and regulatory compliance
• Strong communication skills and confidence in presenting complex information clearly
• Experience in business development and proposal writing is highly desirable
