DESCRIPTION:

1. Safety & Compliance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory, stock documentation, and shipment preparation.
Proven ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, following all safety protocols.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work respectfully and cooperatively within a team environment.
Physically fit, with the ability to lift, move, and stack heavy items, and remain active throughout the shift.
Demonstrates flexibility and reliability, including the ability to work varying shifts, weekends, or public holidays as needed.
Committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment, including adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
Willingness to follow instructions and proactively report hazards, discrepancies, or inefficiencies.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Proven experience in a warehouse or similar environment with forklift operation preferred.
Ability to follow instructions accurately.
Physical fitness and stamina for repetitive tasks.
Attention to detail.
Good hand-eye coordination

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follows and complies with all workplace safety rules and procedures.
Wears required PPE at all times without reminders.
Operates forklifts in accordance with safety protocols and licensing requirements.
Conducts pre-operational checks on forklift equipment and reports any faults immediately.
Identifies and reports safety hazards or concerns to supervisors promptly.
Keeps work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
2. Quality Assurance

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adheres to food safety and hygiene standards, including handwashing, sanitization, and temperature control.
Inspects incoming goods for damage or discrepancies and reports on any issues.
Handles goods with care using forklift or manual methods to prevent product damage and contamination.
Follow GMP practices to ensure the integrity of stock movement and storage.
3. People & Attendance

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attends work to a satisfactory level within practical business requirements
Begins shifts on time every day consistently.
Maintains respectful communication and cooperation with team members and supervisors.
Works collaboratively with colleagues including packers, logistics coordinators, and supervisors.
Participates in toolbox talks or shift handovers when required.
4. Operational Efficiency & Performance

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operates forklifts and other mechanical handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, stack, and store goods.
Receives incoming shipments and verifies items against documentation.
Prepares and dispatches outgoing shipments accurately and on time.
Maintains high levels of productivity with at least 95% active engagement during shifts.
Communicate effectively with the team to ensure a smooth workflow.
5. Waste & Yield Management

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Minimises waste by handling goods carefully and storing them correctly using appropriate equipment.
Take care to avoid spillage, damage, or spoilage during forklift operations.
Organizes stock in a way that reduces double handling and increases picking accuracy.
Takes initiative to stop or report processes causing excessive waste.
6. Inventory & Documentation

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains accurate inventory records by documenting incoming and outgoing goods.
Conducts regular stock checks and assists with cycle counts and reconciliations.
Uses forklifts to move stock to designated storage areas, ensuring correct labelling and placement.
Supports warehouse tracking systems through consistent and timely data entry.
