This group manages General Obligation Bond and Traffic Impact projects. Projects include paving, resurfacing, and streetscape projects (60%); bridge and drainage projects (20%); traffic projects (10%); Park projects (5%); and facility projects (5%). JOB SUMMARY This position is located in the Project Management Division of the Public Works Department within the City of Oklahoma City and is under the direction of an immediate supervisor. Construction Project Manager is a full proficiency, para-professional classification responsible for the administration and/or supervision of major components of engineering projects. Specialized work areas include water, storm sewer, paving, building, or sanitary sewer construction. Essential job functions include: reviewing or coordinating plans, specifications, and construction for projects prepared by the City within an assigned functional area both in house and at field locations; reviewing plans prepared by consultants that may impact the area; preparing various documents and reports; determining and monitoring funding allocations; and distributing required information to coordinate and facilitate construction. Construction Project Managers may supervise technical staff, with work products subject to review by a Civil Engineer or other immediate supervisor.
